WE ARE OUTLAWS:
THE LEEDS SUFFRAGETTE STORY
Commissioned by Leeds City Council and the Centenary Cities Project
In Autumn 2018 Wrongsemble teamed up with the Front Room Productions to create We Are Outlaws: The Leeds Suffragette Story - commissioned by Leeds City Council and the Centenary Cities Project, and performed around Leeds Civic Hall.
This immersive piece featured a cast of six female northern actors, and a community cast of 24 local participants. The production told the widely unknown story of Leeds' Leonora Cohen, the so-called tower suffragette.
We Are Outlaws: The Leeds Suffragette Story performed for FREE for audiences on Friday 14 Dec 2018 to celebrate the centenary of some women obtaining the right to vote.
